About Oktober Skye

Oktober Skye began as a passion project in my garage during time off from work in 2020 in the Covid era. At the time, my work was paying me to stay home, so after receiving a ring as a birthday present from my friends, my interest in jewellery began. I wanted to DIY my jewellery to save a few bucks but didn't know I was embarking on a journey into the most expensive hobby there is. But what started as a hobby quickly grew into a deep appreciation for the craft of jewellery making, and the rest is history. 

Every piece I create begins as a block of wax that I carve from hand, and either sand cast myself for some organic textures, or house cast and texture by hand entirely, using various burs, files etc. 

At Oktober Skye, each piece is born from a hands-on journey that started in my garage. What began as a simple DIY project evolved into a genuine craft. I’m proud to infuse a hands on approach with every piece I create, and I’m excited to continue to share my jewellery journey with you.
